Ana Martin-Lavielle, Esq., is the managing partner of the Firm. Ms. Martin-Lavielle has dedicated over 28 years of practice to the area of family law. She is a highly skilled matrimonial trial attorney. Her expertise, knowledge and experience in family law has been tested by the Florida Bar, who has recognized her as a specialist in the area of Matrimonial and Family law and as such she has been Board Certified in Marital and Family Law since 1999. Ms. Martin-Lavielle is also Certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Family Law Mediator and is trained in the Collaborative Process for dispute resolution in family cases. She is sought out by other family law practitioners to mediate highly complex and emotionally charged family cases as a result of her expertise, as well as being bilingual in the Spanish and English languages. 

Matrimonial cases are not only highly complex because of the legal issues that arise but also as a result of the interpersonal dynamics between the parties, the litigation process.  Ms. Martin-Lavielle’s prior education in the field of psychology, as well as her numerous years of service on the Board of Psychology of the State of Florida, have provided her the opportunity to gain the skills to formulate effective resolutions, of the complicated issues, as well as practical solutions of the day to day situations that arise in the lives of the clients.

Ms. Martin-Lavielle recognizes the importance of attentively listening to each client, in order to guide that person through such a sensitive, delicate and challenging time.

In assisting clients of different nationalities, backgrounds, professions, such as entrepreneurs, stay at home mothers, athletes, musicians, artists and many others, with diverse needs, she has gained insight into the different demands and rigors of their respective lives and lifestyles. She has developed and fostered relationships with highly respected attorneys and law firms in various countries, as well as with other professionals; such as accountants, financial advisors/planners, mental health professionals, whose knowledge and skills are frequently necessary in obtaining a successful resolution.

Ms. Martin-Lavielle has given an AV rated, which is the highest rating that can be achieved by an attorney. The South Florida Legal Guide has consistently recognized Ms. Martin-Lavielle as a “Top Lawyer”, the Wall Street Journal & Florida Magazine listed her as a “Top Attorney in Florida”, and has been named each year since 2006, as a “Super Lawyer”, an honor bestowed only on the top five percent of attorneys in the State of Florida. She was also selected by Martindale-Hubbell for the 2011 Inaugural Edition of the Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyer.

She has been a speaker on various television and radio programs, not only because of her knowledge of family law matters but also because she is fully bilingual and able to convey information to the audience in a manner that is clear.

As a result of her services as a Guardian Ad Litem, in 1996 the Judges of the 11th Judicial Circuit bestowed upon her the Ray H. Pearson Guardian Ad Litem Award for her exemplary service to the Court and the Children of Dade County and in 2004, she received the Put Something Back Guardian Ad Litem Award for Outstanding Pro Bono Contributions. She has also earned the respect and accolades from her colleagues and the judiciary for her work on behalf of children.

As part of her desire to serve the legal community she serves on the 11th Judicial Circuit Parenting Coordinator Advisory Board. Ms. Martin-Lavielle Past President of the First Family American Inn of Court, which members include the Judges and most qualified attorneys practicing in the area of Matrimonial law in Miami-Dade County.

She is the chair, for the second year in a row, of the Coral Gables Landscape Beautification Advisory Board. In the past she has also served on the Boards of the YWCA and Planned Parenthood.

Ms. Martin-Lavielle graduated from the University of Miami with a Juris Doctorate degree, as well as receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Miami.
