Ms. Martin-Lavielle is also Certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Family Law Mediator and is trained in the Collaborative Process for dispute resolution in family cases. She is sought out by other family law practitioners to mediate highly complex and emotionally charged family cases as a result of her expertise, as well as her bilingual skills in the Spanish and English languages.
More about AnaAndy W. Acosta graduated from the University of Miami prior to obtaining his law degree from the Florida State University College of Law in 1993. He practices exclusively in the area of marital and family law at both the trial and appellate level. It is his philosophy to treat every client with the same care and respect that he would want for a member of his family. His goal is to assist the client through the divorce process and to achieve a successful financial outcome as well as emotional health for the new family unit. Andy has been with Perez-Abreu & Martin-Lavielle, P.A,. since 1998. He was born and raised in Miami, but enjoys traveling and experiencing different cultures. As a son of Cuban immigrants, he is fluent in English and Spanish.
Ana-Maria Mejer joined Perez-Abreu & Martin-Lavielle as an associate in February 2014. Ms. Mejer has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1995. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Mejer practiced solely in the area of Marital and Family Law for over sixteen years focusing on the areas of complex marital and family law matters including divorce, paternity, child custody, parenting plans, alimony, child support, relocation, and modification actions. She is a member of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar and is also a member of the Florida Family Law Inns of Court. Ms. Mejer, a Miami native, born of Cuban parents is bilingual; speaking both Spanish and English. Ms. Mejer is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 1995) and an alumna of the University of Miami (B.A., 1989).
